2018 finishes with SMC winning!
SMC won the August SSB round of the NAQP Challenge and has thus won the overall 2018 NAQP Challenge. This is the second year in a row that SMC has won the Challenge, the first back-to-back win for any club in the six-year history of the event.
PVRC had an incredible participant count of 154 for the August SSB contest, an all-time record for a single club in any single NAQP event since the Challenge started in 2013, and SMC was close behind with a participant count of 150. However, SMC posted much larger logs, racking up 2.4M in log scores compared to only 1.6M in log scores for PVRC. The result is a win for SMC in the August SSB event, by a wide margin. NCCC is third in the August SSB and DFWCG fourth. That also mirrors the order of finish for the overall Challenge: SMC 1st, PVRC 2nd, NCCC 3rd and DFWCG 4th.
You can check out the overall results at http://naqpc.org/2018.htm. There is also a link on that page for a participation report which shows the scores each individual club member contributed to each event.
